you’ve scheduled your intake session with your child’s therapist, now what?

This appointment provides an opportunity for me to get to know the parents and gain valuable insights into their child's background, family dynamics, and the specific concerns that have led them to seek counseling.

During the intake appointment, we take the time to actively listen to the parents' concerns and empathetically acknowledge the challenges they may be facing. We ask open-ended questions to gather comprehensive information about the child's history, developmental milestones, and any significant life events that may be impacting their well-being.

By the end of the parent intake appointment, our goal is for the parents to feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the next steps in supporting their child's emotional and mental well-being. Our team strives to create a collaborative and trusting relationship with the parents, laying the groundwork for a positive and effective counseling experience for their child.
